Heathrow Airport terminal - 5
Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 is build exclusively for
British Airways passengers. These state of the art terminals
consists of one main terminal
Terminal 5 consists of one main terminal and two satellite terminals that altogether cover a space as large as London’s Hyde Park. That’s five times the size of Terminal 4, our current long-haul base.
In addition to the main terminal building, some flights will leave from Terminal 5’s satellite terminal, Satellite B. We’re even adding a Satellite C in 2010 as part of our ongoing commitment to improving your travel experience.
Terminal 5 also boasts a new air traffic control tower, a 3,800 space multi-storey car park, a 605-bed hotel directly connected to the terminal building and a total of 60 aircraft stands - 14 of which have been designed to cater for our new supersize Airbus A380s.
Terminal 5 is so much more than an airport expansion. In fact it’s the UK’s largest free standing building.
You’ll love our state-of-the-art building with its transparent walls that let in plenty of natural light. You’ll bask in the feeling of space and airiness the architect, Richard Rogers Partnership, has created.
And we hope you’ll agree that the departure lounge is something special with its single-span, waveform glass roof and transparent glass walls that offer new views of the worlds busiest international airfield.
If you have to transfer between Terminal 3 and Terminal 5 to make a flight connection, you’ll find it extremely easy. Just follow the Flight Connections signs to the Heathrow terminal you need and catch one of the coaches running every few minutes.
Our aim is to make your travel to and from Heathrow Terminal 5 as enjoyable and streamlined as your new airport experience. We’re also hoping that you will help us care for the environment by using one of the many types of public transport that BAA are making available.
You will be able to get to and from Terminal 5 by bus, coach, train, Heathrow Express or London Underground. And of course, you can still come by car or taxi and take advantage of improved access from the motorways. There will be plenty of parking for cars and motorbikes and up to 60% off if you pre-book your space online.
